ProjectVerre explained

ProjectVerre is a software for calculating the thickness of glass. It is updated to the latest regulations and allows you to easily define solutions for the most frequent applications in less than a minute.

No need to navigate your way through numbers, graphs or coefficients: the program comes up instantly with a range of the best laminating options for you to choose the one most advantageous to you and to your customer. ProjectVerre helps you find the perfect combination of glass modules with continuous support for: walkable floors, stairs, roofs, windows, movable walls, and floor-mounted balustrades.

Calculation result

In just a few seconds, ProjectVerre offers a calculation result with the best solution for your laminated glass.

The calculation result provided by ProjectVerre is a data sheet containing the various laminating solutions for the desired application using three glass types: tempered, toughened and annealed.

The second half of the data sheet includes:

  • Detailed specifications for the calculation result, with the characteristics of the materials and the list of relevant Technical Standards and Regulations.

Upon request, you can also have:

  • A static strength verification layout with all the parameters necessary to compile a calculation report.

How does it work

The program has been developed based on a security protocol which has been specifically structured by our engineers based on national and international glass standards, technical literature and established in-house expertise.

The program is truly intuitive: all you need to do is select the various options with a simple tick, guided by easy-to-follow prompts.

To define the most suitable layers for any laminated glass you must first of all choose one of the three available categories (in compliance with table 3.1.II of Italian Ministerial Decree 17/01/2018 – NTC 2018), as well as the place where the glass will be installed, after which the program will automatically use the correct load values prescribed by law.

Select one of the following types of project to calculate the best laminating options: walkable floors; stairs; roofs; windows, walls or movable walls; floor-mounted balustrades. Then, choose the type of support: on two, three or four sides.

Enter the location where the laminated glass will be installed and the program will automatically calculate the snow load and wind load values.

The behaviour of laminated glass changes according to the operating temperature. This must be taken into account when defining the glass strength; therefore, the program prompts you to choose one of the temperature options provided.

Pick a type of interlayer from the list provided by the program; this list is continuously updated by our staff.

Select one of the three options provided by the program. Bear in mind that, to ensure user safety, non-slip glass is mandatory in some applications, particularly in walkable surfaces.

Use the + and – buttons to select the width and length of the glass pane which is the object of the calculation.

Select one of the options that the program has preset based on your choice of structure.
The Consequence Class is a parameter related to the type of damage that a potential collapse of the structure could cause.

If you so wish, you can check whether a particular laminated glass option has been verified. With the standard procedure, ProjectVerre displays the best solution at once.

Answering a few easy questions will let you compile a specification relevant to each particular project.
